A deconfined route through the streets of Liège. After Namur, Tournai and Charleroi, the triennial Art Public is coming this year to the heart of the Arden city. 18 works and experiences of contemporary art are to be discovered in the streets of the city center.

"It's not always sculpture or painting," explains Pierre Henrion, the exhibition coordinator. "There is also video, sound, a fountain ..." Moreover, it is at the foot of this fountain, Place Xavier Neujean, a creation by Liège artist Alain De Clerck, that the walk begins. "He built a very large 40m³ pool, surrounded by a bench. There is really a notion of conviviality for the people of Liège to appropriate this sculpture." In the middle of the lapping, stands a fountain in rotation on itself. "It's a double disc. The fountain works with a tiny electric motor that pours water into the blades. It is by the force of the water that the fountain spins."

You have to look up to see the next work, a few dozen meters further on, on the facade of Parking Neujean. An elevator takes us up six floors to get a closer look at the work of artist Adrien Lucca. "It is a technical process that causes the color of objects to change, without changing the color of lighting."

Another floor higher and here we are on the roof of the parking lot. A mustard yellow staircase stands out against the azure blue of the sky and invites us to step over the balustrade. The view is sensational and breathtaking. "it's called closer to you", says our guide. "It is a link between this parking lot from the 1960s and the Saint Jean church which is just opposite".
