The Skills Development Workshop for the 2nd “Just Shenzhen Just Young” Video Contest was successfully held on November 17th in Shenzhen Das Intellitech. The workshop was mainly conducted by Shenzhen Foundation for International Exchange and Cooperation, together with industry experts.

In the past few months, we received over 200+ video submissions from different countries and regions, including but not limited to China, USA, Poland, Russia, India, Venezuela and Pakistan. After selection, there were 22 finalists.

Former CCTV host, Trustee, Chinese Collegial Association For Visual, Vice Chairman, Shenzhen Film & TV Artists Association, Professor, the College of Theatre, Film and Television, Shenzhen University, Wang Ting, Director & Producer, Founder of TimeDoc, Hong Hai, Assistant Professor, Harbin Institute of Technology, Shenzhen, Zeng Yuan, Senior Program Director of Conversation Program Office of MCF, Patrick Yeung, General Manager, Das Intellitech Building Energy Saving BU, Xie Huiyou, Deeprock Net Zero Technology (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd Dameisha Vanke Center Operation Direction, Jolian Zhang, Secretary General of Shenzhen Foundation for International Exchange and Cooperation, lululemon Ambassador, Li Dan, Western and Chinese Music Composer and Educator, Don Orfeo had attended the workshop.

The workshop was divided into 3 sections. For the first section of the event, Mr. Zeng Yuan, Mr. Patrick Yeung, Mr. Xie Huiyou and Mr. Jolian Zhang gave a panel discussion about “Showcasing the "power of Shenzhen" in climate action to the world”.

For the second section, Ms. Wang Ting shared some international communication experiences with the audience with the theme of “Improve the storytelling ability of audio-visual language”. After, Mr. Hong Hai delivered a speech about “Becoming a producer”to the audiences and shared some experiences about how to improve the presentation of the videos to the public.

After the speech, the audience discussed with the guests about the topics of environmental protection, energy saving and media communication. Finally, the guests and the audience knew more about the actions and achievements of how Das face the climate change by visiting Shenzhen Das Intellitech.

In order to showcase the green and healthy lifestyle of Shenzhen, and support  the 2030 UN Sustainable Development Goals, Shenzhen Foundation for International Exchange and Cooperation (SFIEC), in collaboration with the Peking University Shenzhen Graduate School, Harbin Institute of Technology, Shenzhen, Southern University of Science and Technology, Tsinghua Shenzhen International Graduate School, Shenzhen MSU-BIT University, College of International Studies, Shenzhen University, Shenzhen College of International Education, Shenzhen Technology University, Vanke Meisha Academy, Shenzhen Polytechnic University, Georgia Tech Shenzhen Institute, Tianjin University, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen, The Silk Road Story of GRT Satellite Channel and Guangdong Provincial Aesthetic Education Master Studio (Shenzhen University), Deep Dive Co., Ltd., Biosphere3, and Mangrove Conservation Foundation and Vanke Foundation to jointly carry out the 2nd "Just Shenzhen Just Young" Video Contest, with the theme of “Green up Grow up”. The period for contest registration and video submission is from now to 30 October 2023.
