In order to enhance the understanding of the Greater Bay Area and Shenzhen among outstanding young people at home and abroad, promote the interaction and exchange of Chinese and foreign cultures, and demonstrate the image of Shenzhen as an inclusive and innovative city, Shenzhen People' s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, Shenzhen Universiade International Scholarship Foundation and Shenzhen Foundation for International Exchange and Cooperation jointly launch a 10-day “Meet the World around”Shenzhen Summer Program.

After resume screening and online/offline interviews,

a total of 20 students frommore than 10 different countries and regions

including China, United States, Russia, Serbia, Nigeria, Pakistan, Nepal, Malaysia, Vietnam, and Thailand

participated in the program.

In order to reflect the characteristics of Shenzhen’s openness, inclusiveness, friendliness,

and increase the understanding of the participants about Shenzhen and the program,

on the afternoon of August 13, 2023, the opening ceremony of

“Meet the World around” Shenzhen Summer Program was successfully held at the Foundation!

The opening ceremony invited Cao Saixian, Director General of Shenzhen Foreign Affairs Office, Zhou Jianxiong, Director of Shenzhen People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries affairs, Shenzhen Foreign Affairs Office, Shenzhen Municipal Education Bureau, Li Dan, Secretary General of Shenzhen Foundation for International Exchange and Cooperation, Lu Lin, Deputy Secretary of Shenzhen Universiade International Scholarship Foundation attended the event.
