The 2024 Chinese New Year is approaching
How do you celebrate the new year?
The New Year's Special Activity of
"SFIEC Global Friendship Community"
comes!
Just on this Friday!
Join us to celebrate the Chinese New Year!

Background

Chinese Palace lanterns are the lamps used in the palace, made of fine wood with a skeleton and inlaid with silk or glass with colourful patterns, which not only illuminated every corner of the palace, but also highlighted the wealth and luxury of the Chinese royal family. Most of these patterns were based on the themes of dragon and phoenix, signifying glory and good fortune.

Palace lanterns have been in China for thousands of years, and now they have become an integral part of traditional Chinese culture. In China, people always like to give beautiful things a good meaning. In ancient times, lamps also had a special meaning, it represents the prosperity of people.

So this community activity is all about making your own Chinese Palace Lanterns to add a splash of colour to the The Chinese New Year (the Loong Year)!
